Diana (formerly ACES Dior) was one of those foster dogs that didn't ask for much but needed a lot. She had been surrendered by a hunting plantation for failure to hunt and came to ACES a scared and broken girl. Her foster family gave her an abundance of care but worried that she would never be comfortable in a home with a family. This month marks Diana's 6-month adoption anniversary, and not only is she comfortable with her adoptive family, she is extremely happy! Diana has learned that people are very, very good and she now trusts. She invites affection by putting her paw firmly on her mom's arm and she has the confidence needed to walk the block each day. She is still shy and scared at times, but under the patient care of her family, she has blossomed into a goofy whirlwind when outside and quite the bed hog when inside!
We're thrilled to see Diana doing so well in her forever home. She's blossoming into a happy confident English Setter.
