As we ring in the New Year, I'd like to announce some changes to our board of directors. I will be stepping down as president this year, but will remain on the board as past president to help with transition and assist as requested. Heidi Janss has been elected ACES President; Lisa Fulton, Vice President, and Pat Bonetti, Secretary. Ann Sans and Aimee James return as Directors. Please join me in congratulating the officers, thanking the returning directors, and wishing everyone the best in the upcoming year. I'd like to take this opportunity to personally thank each and every volunteer who has been a part of the ACES team during my years as president. Your passion, dedication, and hard work never fails to impress and humble me. You have made a difficult job easier and much more enjoyable.

I'm sad to say that Samantha Hughes is stepping down from the board. Sam has been a faithful friend and a dedicated advocate for ACES. For more than eight years, she has worked to place ACES English Setters in loving forever homes. Sam has been a great asset to the board with her knowledge of English Setters, her wisdom combined with common sense, and her wonderful sense of humor. We will all dearly miss Sam, and we wish her and her family the very best.

We would also like to thank our volunteers, adopters and supporters as we look toward the new year. Like many volunteer efforts, rescue work comes with its share of challenges. We like to focus on the rewards, and with a support crew like ACES has, the rewards are many.

Wishing you all a blessed new year,

Janice Harlow, Past President
Another Chance for English Setters
