Roger is a happy and friendly little guy with a big heart for people. With one black ear and lots of ticking, he’s also quite handsome. Roger is 2-3 years old and weighs just 38 pounds. He is full grown, but in many ways he is still just a puppy.
Roger came to ACES as a stray. We don't think he has lived indoors before. He’s learned a lot in foster care and is doing great with housetraining. He is crate trained and seems to enjoy occasionally having space and time to himself in the crate. Roger likes to nap in his crate, but if he’s not there, his foster dad can find him napping under the bed or loveseat.
Roger is a good boy, but like many young Setters, he has been known to get into mischief when not supervised. His foster dad crates Roger when he is not at home. Roger is learning proper manners and to walk nicely on a leash, but he would benefit from a basic positive reinforcement obedience class with his new family.
Roger loves other dogs and plays often with his one-year-old foster brother. When it comes to playing with dogs or getting pets from humans, Roger likes to be in the middle of the action. He's been learning about doggy manners from the older dogs in the house. We think Roger would be fine in a multiple dog household or as an only dog.
Roger is very friendly. He is often happily wagging his little tail and looking for human interaction. He loves to snuggle and give kisses. Roger is a love and will make the perfect family happy for many years.
Mike Warfield hopes that Roger will soon be sharing his joy for life with a loving forever family!
Roger sends lots of happy setter kisses to Tracey & Allan Fogwill for their friendship and support!
