Meet Lily, a lovable, sweet, petite blue belton girl (37 lbs.) who was born 1/4/14. She has transitioned very well into her foster home.
Lily listens very intently when you talk to her; she does a head tilt from side to side to show you she is interested in what you have to say. She gets along fabulously with her two resident setter brothers and one resident setter sister (see video). Lily does not need to be crated when her family leaves as she is comfortable being left at large with her foster sibs. It would be nice for her to be placed in a home where there is another dog to keep her company.
As with most setters, Lily has a medium to high energy level with a pretty keen prey drive (stalking backyard critters). She willingly shares her food and toys with people and other dogs. She already knows several commands, such as sit and come and she is house trained. She has also been trained to sit at the door before being let outside and to sit patiently like a good girl before she gets any food or treats. How great is that! Good manners are always welcome. Lily and her foster mom are working on loose leash walking and it is just a matter of time before Lily gets the gist of leisurely leash walking/running.
She definitely wants to please and always makes an effort to do the right thing when she is told. Lily has so much love to give and just wants to be with people who will love her right back. If you are ready to welcome this dear little girl into your life, please contact us.
Tracey & Allan Fogwill hope that sweet little Lily soon finds the forever home of her dreams!
Lily sends a big "roo" of thanks to Pamela Miller for being her foster friend as she awaits her forever home!
