Meet Cowboy, a 1 year old tricolor boy who weighs 60 lbs. How would you describe this young boy? Friendly, energetic, playful, handsome and loving are words that immediately come to mind.
Cowboy loves to play with toys and loves to play fetch. The key word is "fetch" because Cowboy really loves to run to catch the ball but is still learning how to give the ball back to you. He has also caught a couple of birds that, luckily, he returned to his foster mom. Cowboy gets along with the other dogs and the cat in his foster home.
Cowboy's usually good on walks when he wears his Easy-Walk harness but, true to his setter nature, all bets are off if he sees a bird. He is also learning basic commands and the house rules at his foster home. His adoptive family will most likely need to continue Cowboy's training using positive reinforcement. Even though he is a year old, Cowboy has lots of puppy in him; he's an active boy who loves to spend time with his family. It would be great if his new family would like to spend time learning together.
Cowboy is getting used to a crate by going in and out whenever he wants. At night, he likes to sleep on the family bed or snuggle on the couch or dog pillow. After a hard day of play, this young boy needs his sleep to re-energize.
Looking for a lovable, young, energetic boy who likes to play? Cowboy is your setter!
Holly Christensen & Steve Krogulecki hope that handsome Cowboy will soon be playing fetch with his forever family!
Cowboy sends a big "Roo" of thanks to Zachary Rieboldt for being his foster friend as he waits for his forever home.
