Hello, my name is Austin but everyone calls me handsome (I have no idea what this means, but it gets me a lot of attention). I am a five-year-old orange belton boy who weighs about 60 pounds. I was found as a stray. I have what my foster mom calls “house manners,” so I know how to sit and down, and I know both verbal and hand signals. I understand no and off, but you don’t need to tell me “off” very often because I do not get up on the people furniture. I have no problem with being crated. My leash manners are pretty good except when I see a bird, then I am a great leash puller. My foster mom is working with me on that. I also need a home with a physical fence rather than an invisible one.
From Austin’s foster family:
Austin is a delight, a very gentle soul, laid back and affectionate. He enjoys people and greets them with respect. Austin enjoys walks and loves to be outside. He is learning his name – he already does quite well with come, but will get better when he knows his name better. He gets along with his foster sisters - they seem to have a competition of who can go on point the prettiest.
Austin is a quick learner, has a lot of potential, and he will do well with someone who will continue to work with him. His basic manners foundation is solid – he is working on leave it and find it, and learning to sit on a blanket and wait for his dinner to be served.
Whoever adopts this guy is going to have a great companion.
Bob & Margaret Radford hope that handsome Austin will soon be thriving in a loving forever home!
Austin, we hope you are soon enjoying walks and receiving lots of affection from a lucky forever family! Margie & Peter Green
