Wiley is a beautiful tri-colored English setter who is 3 years old, weighing 37 pounds. He was found as a stray.

Wiley is currently living with his Foster Mother, her three setters, and a cat. He very quickly became good buddies with his setter siblings. He has been around other canine and human friends who have come to visit. Wiley socializes well with people, children and dogs. However, the cat is hoping Wiley gets adopted soon. Wiley’s new home should not have cats.

Wiley was probably an outside dog as he did not seem to know basic commands like sit and was not house trained.  But, boy this little guy is smart! He has already learned the electronic fence, knows all about treats, and is conquering the concepts of sit, stay, come, and go potty. He is getting along well with his house training.

Wiley seems like an old soul. Although he loves to play and run with his foster brothers and sister, he is content to be outside by himself just laying in the grass or on the porch in the sun. He didn’t seem to have a voice when he first arrived, but now he barks at deer or other dogs when his foster siblings bark. He loves to play catch with balls but his foster sister sometimes steals them away. Wiley likes to have his chest rubbed and he may snuggle with you when watching TV.  Otherwise, he just finds a soft pillow to lay on. Wiley travels well but often wants to sit on your lap.

Wiley was treated for Heartworm disease on entering ACES.  He has finished his treatment and is now ready to look for a forever home.  He will make a good addition to any family. As with all pups, he will need love, attention, boundaries, and treats.
