Hermes is a pretty 30 pound, 4 year old, orange and white pocket sized gal. Hermes was picked up by animal control as a stray but she has quickly caught on to being a house dog. She is a happy girl in her foster home. She enjoys running with her foster sister and two brothers in the yard and knows she's getting a meal twice a day. Hermes loves chasing squirrels , birds, and anything outside that moves.
When Hermes first got to her foster home, she had no idea what a couch was. But boy-oh-boy , does she love it now! Hermes will get on the whole couch even when another dog is on it…squirming her way like a snake to get through other dogs to be next to her foster mom on the couch.
Hermes has free roam of the house. She picked up housetraining and now that she has a schedule, she hasn't had any accidents inside. To let you know she needs to go out, Hermes will give you a look and a little whimper, then run to back door. She will bark at the door to let you know she’s ready to come back in. She is working on commands and is doing well with sit and down. She comes promptly when called in from backyard. Hermes walks nicely on a leash and enjoys walking around the city parks and through the neighborhood with her foster mom.
Hermes is a very smart girl who has been learning directions and boundaries quickly. She is an absolute love bug and enjoys snuggling. Hermes is ready to find her forever home and be stuck like glue to her new family for good!
Bob & Margaret Radford hope that sweet little Hermes will soon find a comfy couch and lots of squirrels and birds in a loving forever home!
Little Hermes sends a big Setter "roo" to Margie & Peter Green for being her foster friends & rooting for her to find a happily-ever-after life!
