Meet Freckles.  She is a young gal at only about 9 months, but she acts quite "mature" for such a young pup. She’s put on weight in foster care and is now just over 40 pounds, but she could stand to gain a bit more weight.

Freckles is a sweet girl, curious, but easy going. There really is more setter to love with this gal!  She has a cute extra toe on one of her back legs. We call it her "tea time toe" because she will often wave with that leg when she is lying down and she holds that leg up when she is doing her business outside. (You’d have to see it, but it is really cute. But Freckles is a lady so don't tell her I told you all this.) As the lady that she is, Freckles doesn't "mess around" much outside, especially if the weather is bad, she does her thing and comes back to the door. She is curious about birds and would play out there if someone was willing.

Freckles picked up on housetraining within about a week and does just fine in her crate while I am away from the house. She has free run of the house overnight, but most nights, she chooses to sleep in the person bed, along with her foster brothers. She is good with other dogs. She seems to want to play with her foster brothers, but they aren’t always interested.

Freckles is a bit timid until she knows she can trust you.  She will go in her crate if she is unsure of things. Once she knows you, she is a very loving and sweet gal.  She is great with human company. She has not been around many kids, but she seems like she would do okay with older children. We do not know how she is around cats.

She LOVES to be a lap dog and snuggle.  She gives out an occasional kiss or two.  This gal is ready to give a VERY lucky family a lot of years of joy and love.

Holly Christensen & Steve Krogulecki hope that sweet little Freckles is soon snuggling with her loving forever family!

Freckles sends out a big thank you to Margie & Peter Green for being her foster friends!
