Bell is a lovable, sweet and little lady. She is about seven years old and 40 pounds, and is a tri-color. Bell has transitioned easily into our family of 2 other English Setters age 13 and 3. Her maturity level is somewhere between the two of our setters. She very quickly adjusts to the energy level around her. If we are all having a mellow day at the house lying around reading in front of a fire, she enjoys the same and is quite content to lounge around the house. If we get geared up for a walk or hike, she is ready to go and does well with our pack on our 3 mile walks. She is good on a leash and very curious when we meet other dogs. She is friendly and lovable allowing strangers to pet her.
Bell is housetrained and quickly learned how to use our doggie door. She seems quite content with her surroundings and has never tried to get over the four-foot fence. She will lay on her dog bed on the deck in the sun with the other dogs and enjoys being in the company of people and other dogs. She remains calm and polite with people who come to the house and does not jump on them. She is pretty quiet and when the other two setters bark to greet foster mom when she comes home, Bell demonstrates happiness with wagging her tail and may let out a very quiet yip or two but that is it.
Bell is just an all-around good girl. She doesn’t mind loud noises and just overall seems to go with the flow. Initially she was unsure of the stairs but quickly conquered that and bounds up and down the stairs. She is excellent in the car and sits up and looks out the window or will lie down in back seat and sleep. She sleeps in the bedroom with us at night and is content on her bed at the foot of our bed or will snuggle with us if invited up. There are nights when all 3 of the setters are on the bed and all sleep harmoniously together.
Overall Bell is a joy to be with and she is game for anything that is going on. She possesses all of the qualities to make her a wonderful companion for any family.
Lori Vrabel hopes that sweet little Bell will be going on walks and snuggling with her loving forever family very soon!
