Henry came to us from a shelter in Virginia and was diagnosed with Lyme disease. He is currently being treated with no issues. Henry is a very smart tri-color setter that gets along well with all dogs that he has met. He is great with his foster sister Jessie (ACES Jess). When he first arrived he took immediately to her.
He is timid when meeting new people, but warms up quickly after a few good treats. Henry learned the doggie door in less than half of a day. He was house trained in two days (thanks Jessie), but we would recommend a doggie door. He walks well on the leash. He is still learning his basic house manners, as in, don’t get on the furniture unless asked. He comes when called. With a basic obedience class, Henry will shine and be a star pup. He does have a tendency to chew on items left out, but when corrected, immediately responds to positive reinforcement. When it comes to bed time, Henry knows to settle down and go to sleep.
Henry will thrive with an active family with other dogs that like to play. He will be a lovable companion for anyone.
