Lilah is the sweetest puppy.  She is extremely smart and learns things quickly.  At 9 weeks old she had already learned to sit for a treat, and wait patiently in a sitting position for her breakfast, lunch and dinner.  She loves to play with toys, and the other dogs in her foster home.  However, she is a lively puppy that can be a little bit of a pest with a new dog she is introduced to, as she wants to play, so if a full grown dog is not puppy savvy, some monitoring will be necessary.  Lilah is cautious around dogs who growl at her and will give them a wide berth.

Lilah loves kitties and gets along with them very well.  She plays with two of the three cats in her foster home, and they actually seek her out to play with her.  Lilah is now almost fully housetrained and only has an occasional accident in the house, mostly when her humans aren’t paying attention to her signs to go out.  She does go to the door.

Lilah is treat oriented, so therefore a joy to train.  She still needs some leash manners and her foster home has just started her recall training.  She is good around chickens and horses (her foster home has both).

Lilah does not do well in the car.  She drools and has high anxiety, and will often throw up at least once on a journey. Her foster home is working on this.  She does much better when held, as opposed to being put in a crate in the car.

Lilah knows her name.  Her foster family has been monitoring her weight and height gain as compared to some other puppies who were born at the same time and who are the same breed and Lilah is about 8 pounds under their weight.  She will most likely mature to about 30-40 pounds.  She has already exhibited her pointing instinct and has pointed birds, cats and bugs in the yard.  Lilah is just a sweet, sweet, happy little girl.
