Hi, I am the new kid on the block!   I'm 2 years old and about 45 pounds; they say my color is orange. My name is Rowdy, but don't let the name scare you off - I'm a very well behaved boy. I know everyone is going to be excited to meet me as I have never met anyone I did not like!

I was a kennel dog for the first 2 years of my life. When my owner passed away, I went to a great shelter with very caring people. They knew I was going to be special, but they called me timid and shy (little did they know I was just a little nervous in the shelter). I was sent off to prison.......

Don't worry I was not a bad boy (giggles!) The shelter I was at ran a prison program for inmates. I went and lived with an inmate who taught me all my manners and, boy, did I learn a lot! When the shelter contacted ACES, my foster mom came right away and took me home.

After a couple of weeks in foster care, my label of timid and shy turned to sweet! I have settled in very nicely in my foster home. I love dogs, don't mind cats, and have never met anyone I don't like. I enjoy being outside and wherever my family is. Even though I love to be with people, I don't get under foot.

I get to stay loose in the house during the day when my family is at work because I don't get into things and I’m a good boy. I am always excited when my family comes home, but I know to settle down quickly to best enjoy our together time. My foster mom says I am so easy to get along with...the easiest setter she has ever met (and she’s met a lot of them).   The only thing I ask is that you give me a little time to settle in and in return I will give you all the love and companionship you could ever need!
