Lady Bell is a happy, healthy, playful young setter that loves to be around people and other dogs. She is a true sweetheart that will melt your heart. She's quite the snuggler and will nestle down into the sheets with you on a cool night or right on your lap while you watch tv or read a book.  She will follow you wherever you go and loves to be the center of attention. She's quite the little princess, but don't be fooled. She definitely has moxie. She is quite adept at tackling her foster brother who is twice her size.

Lady Bell has been very quick to adapt to new environments. She's gotten along great with both her foster brothers. She's been the perfect playmate for the young one and has been polite enough to leave the older one alone when he's not in the mood to play. She does all right with the cats. She's content to sleep next to them on the couch in the evening, but if she is full of spunk, she can be prone to chasing them. However, she has no intention of actually hurting them. She just wants them to play with her. If you have a big, bossy cat that isn't skittish, she would do just fine with them. She's the life of the party at the dog park and loves to say hi to new people.  She's also been great with kids, running and playing with them. She's learning that jumping up to say hi isn't appropriate, so it may take some consistency from her family to enforce staying on the ground, especially if you have very young children.

Lady Bell came to us with some basic obedience training. She does well with positive reinforcement and is quick to learn the house rules, like sitting and waiting for the food at dinner time and getting her teeth brushed.  She truly does want to please, especially if it means a treat. Walking on the leash is something she is learning to do. She was quite the puller when she first arrived, but she is learning the heel command and is improving with consistent handling. She is house trained but does need her water intake monitored to prevent accidents while left unattended.

Overall, Lady Bell is a little bundle of joy that brings happiness wherever she goes. She'd make a great addition to any active family.
