Pepper is a precious black and white setter who is approximately 4 to 5 years old, medium to small build, and weighs 39 pounds. She was found with her “sister”, Dottie, doing what setters do best – running in the woods. These two girls are never far apart. They are in good health.

Pepper is currently living with her foster mother and her two setters Hanna and Hunter who are 2 1/2 years old, Dottie her rescue sister, and two rescue cats. They are all good buddies except the cats. The cats stay hidden and are absentee house guests. Pepper socializes well with people, kids, and dogs, and is gentle with everyone. She loves riding in the car but she seems to want to learn to drive.

Pepper has a lot of energy and a delightful, affectionate, cheerful personality. She is graceful in build and motion, and is not shy in asking for attention.  Pepper loves to snuggle - the closer, the better. Pepper is fairly quiet indoors, however she is very lively and energetic outside, spending much of her time trying to out-run and out-smart her foster sister Hanna. She is able to leap tall bushes and fly over gardens trying to catch birds, leaves or Hanna. She is smart and has learned the electronic fence.  She loves her treats but won’t always wait too patiently for hers.

We think she must have had some training as she sits, stays, and comes on command. That doesn’t mean she can’t find mischief to get into. She is learning not to counter surf. Pepper might have springs in her feet, because when she wants to jump, she can.  She jumped right up on to the work bench in the garage where the cat food used to be kept.

She fits her name – a spicy little girl Pepper is a wonderful young lady, spunky and sweet, a true family dog. She will make a good addition to any family. As with all kids, she will need love, attention, and treats. It would be nice to keep Pepper and Dottie together if possible, but it isn’t a requirement.

Doug & Karen Moreno hope that spunky little Pepper will be delighting her loving forever family very soon!
