Prince is a friendly, outgoing 55-lb five year-old boy who eats heartily and loves to run and play. Little is known about his previous life other than he was given up by his previous family for chasing cats. He is house trained, and knows how to use the dog door, come, sit, and lay down. In his spare time he likes to chase tennis balls, patrol the yard for woodland creatures, and nap.

When he gets excited about something, like going for a walk or for a car ride, he expresses himself with a round of setter “roooos”. When he gets VERY excited, he temporarily loses his royal composure and sometimes barks or jumps around, though the frequency of this behavior seems to be decreasing as he gets used to life in his foster home.

He spends the weekdays at home with his English setter foster sister while his foster mom is at work, with free rein of the house and backyard and never gotten into any trouble. He likes to kick back on the furniture, and is a bit of snuggle bug. If you sit down Prince is going to want to lay his head on your lap. He’s been on a few short weekend hikes with his foster family and loves exploring the outdoors on a long leash. He’s a strong puller so his foster mom uses a gentle leader harness with him. He is a wonderful house guest, but would love to find and settle into his forever home.

Lori Vrobel hopes that Prince will be snuggling with a loving forever family very soon!
