Chip is a 2 year old male field English Setter.  He is technically orange belton in color, but he doesn't have a whole lot of spots!  Of course, his lack of spots doesn't affect his wonderful setter personality, and we've notice a new spot or two popping up every day.  Chip is a small male weighing about 35-40 lbs.  We are working on getting a little more weight on him.
Chip was turned into a shelter with three other setters when their owner no longer needed them for hunting.  He does seem to have an interest in the birds when he hears them chirp and when my other dogs go to check them out, but we haven't seen Chip actually point a bird on his own yet.  He likes to run and play outside and would be fine with a four foot fence.
As much as Chip likes being outside, he has definitely figured out that being in the house is where it's at!  He has quickly become a house dog, and he is acquiring nice house dog manners. In just a short time, Chip has been housetrained and crate-trained. He has also been neutered and has had all of his vaccinations.
Chip really likes the other dogs in his foster home and would be fine with dogs in his adoptive home.  He also does fine with children in the home; Chip lives with a six-year-old boy right now.  While there are no cat's in Chip's foster home, he has been around cats at a friends house and seemed fine with them.  Chip does pull some on a leash, but that is also improving as he is on a leash more.
Chip has quickly found his way into foster mom's heart.  He will make a lucky family a nice pet.

Steve, Teri and Miss Sophia Sauer hope that Chip finds the perfect forever home very soon!

Rick and Connie Wenger want Chip to know that they are hoping for a wonderful family to bring him into their hearts and home.
