Hi, my name is Ginger. I'm about 2 years old and I weigh 38 lbs. I'm such a pretty girl. I am red and white. It’s called "orange belton," but as you can see by my pictures that I am more of a red color than orange. I'm easy to get along with, and I like everyone in my foster home, the dogs, the cats and the people. Sometimes, new things scare me a little bit, but it doesn't take me long to warm up. I guess you could say I'm shy. I was worried about the stairs in my foster home at first, but now I can take them up and down like a pro. I'm real good on a leash as long as no one pulls it. I like to be lead gently, and then I walk really well. I'm really getting used to being in a house. My foster family says that they can actually see me smile now.

There are lots of dogs in my foster home to keep me company, and there are two cats. Everyone is really nice. I like them. As for the cats, I just smell them and leave them alone. One of them likes to try to play with my tail when I walk by him. I just let him. I love being around my people. When my foster dad works on his computer, I like to sleep by his side. The other day, he thought I was doing an imitation of a lumberjack sawing wood. I must have been really snoring! I've been trying to train my people to give me lots of loving. If I stick my head near their arms or in their laps and look at them real cute, they will pet me.

One day, a couple of kids came by to visit me. I wasn't too sure of them at first, but I saw them brushing the other English Setter that lives here. That made me curious so I went to them and gave them a sniff. Then I let them pet me. I like when they come over now since I know I will get lots of attention and love.

I'm really happy in my foster home. My body and tail are always moving...wagging and wiggling at the same time. My foster family says it’s excitement and cuteness all rolled into the adorable package of me, Ginger!
