Shelby is a pretty little girl who loves people.  Her favorite thing is to climb up in foster mom's lap and put her head on her shoulder and just snuggle.  She is a petite 35-lb. shadow who wants to be everywhere foster mom is.  At 7 months, Shelby is still very puppyish and playful.  Like a typical puppy, she wants to be in the middle of whatever is going on.  She will grab the dust pile that is being swept up and carry it off or grab the paper that is being read and drag it away.  Then she gives a big sneeze and a jump and she's off to the next interesting thing.  Shelby loves to run and play with the big dogs and watches them for cues on what to do.  She set a speed record for learning how to go through the dog door just by watching another dog go through.  Shelby just loves water.  She would love to have a kiddie pool of her very own to splash in.  Shelby gets excited when someone calls her and comes running, thrilled to be wanted.  She hasn't had any exposure to regular training, though, so would benefit from a positive reinforcement type obedience class.  Although Shelby runs and plays all day, when she comes in the house at night she settles right down (unless something interesting is going on!).  She sleeps quietly through the night.  Shelby will consent to go into a crate when necessary, but really prefers to be where the people are.  Shelby is very sweet and good-natured.  Nothing fazes her for too long.  She is a delight to be around and will make a loving companion for some lucky forever family.
