Ernie came to ACES as a rescue out of TX where he had been found wandering the streets. He is a rambunctious little tri-color guy, thin as a whisp but full of love, curiosity and energy.
Upon arrival at his foster home, Ernie commenced to working his magic on his foster dad and brother. He has been neutered, is UTD on shots, and was the hit of the vet's office. As you can see, he is quite the striking little gentleman weighing in at 48lbs. Ernie and his foster brother have bonded well and, at times, it seems he has been coached when curiosity leads to a less than desired result. He is leash-friendly, understands the basic commands, and truly enjoys the backyard, especially playing hide and seek in the bushes with Zeke and, of course, chasing squirrels and birds. What else is a bird dog supposed to do???
Ernie is quite at home sharing the furniture, toys, food and is house-trained. He shares well now that he has settled in and is secure. He loves to snuggle on the bed at night and will grab his leash in the morning and sit by the door patiently waiting for his morning walk.
Ernie is not going to make it out of his foster home. Like I said earlier, he commenced to workin' his magic and is now a permanent part of our family.
