Annabeth aka Annie is just the perfect girl, and she has brightened our lives since the day she appeared.  She’s only 36 pounds, but she is full of energy, affection, and sweetness.  She rarely barks (and her two foster sisters bark like crazy) and she doesn’t jump up, and she’s not particularly birdie.  Annabeth is tri-colored with a black patch over one eye and is somewhere around 5 years old.  She bonds easily and loves any attention you give her.  When you look at her face, it’s so sweet and cute, you just have to kiss it!

Annabeth had two mammary tumors removed from one gland and a small lump in another gland removed in April.  Biopsy results showed that the tumors and local areas were benign and totally clear and the vet determined the lump to be a cyst.  She has recovered beautifully and is now a happy, healthy girl bounding around the yard and playing with her foster sisters all the time.

Annabeth is housebroken and crate-trained and has never had an accident in her crate.  She sleeps in a crate at night and just goes right in and settles down quickly.  She’s very anxious to get out in the morning, of course!

She has learned to “sit” and “come” and we’re working on “down” and “stay”.  She’s almost got both of those commands down pat.  She is very smart and very interested in learning to do what her human wants.  She would love to go to an obedience class with her new family – she told me so!

Annabeth is a little bundle of love!  She loves being near her humans and loves walking.  She’s also a bundle of energy and loves to run outside.  The first day she was here, she jumped a 3’ brick wall; so it’s important that her new family have at least a 4’ fence or an invisible fence that she can be trained on.  After that first day, she has not tried to jump the wall again.  She has become comfortable and clearly doesn’t want to go anywhere.

We don’t have young children, but she has recently been around an 18 month old, a 5 year old and an 8 year old and she is gentle and affectionate.  She just seems to love everyone.
