Mollie is a beautiful tricolor female English Setter. The vet estimates her age at 3-4 years old, and she weighs 38 pounds. Mollie is loving, energetic, and friendly. Not much is know about her past and this lady isn't talking. She was found as a stray and was probably an outside dog since she had no clue what to do in a house. She is now housetrained, trained to an underground fence, and has learned how to play with toys. She sleeps in a crate in our room.
Miss Mollie likes to play with her foster brother, also an English Setter. They play tug, chase, and wrestle. One day, they were too quiet so I checked on them. Her brother was holding one end of a nyla bone and Miss Mollie was happily chewing on the other end. Miss Mollie has been introduced to chewies and love them. She is very curious about the cat but has never tried to hurt her. The have rubbed noses, but the cat draws the line at puppy kisses.
Mollie has been spayed, has had her microchip inserted, and is up to date on her shots. Mollie is being treated for an ear infection. She is good about the drops in her ears but has to be fooled into taking pills. We are trying to determine if her infection is related to allergies by switching her food.
Miss Mollie rides well in a vehicle and has been well-behaved at vet's office. She loves to cuddle, get tummy rubs and be petted. She is a real little snuggle bug. She is learning to sit and stay, and she knows the word no but sometimes isn't convinced to listen the first time around. Mollie is proving to be very intelligent and a quick learner.
Miss Mollie does not like being alone and will cry if she cannot find her family. She seems to be getting more secure, but she would do best with a family that can give her a lot of attention. She soaks up love like a sponge but also gives it back. This sweet little lady would really like a loving home of her own.
Deby Meeks and her special girl Dolly Bella, send special adoption wishes to Mollie
MOLLIE'S SUCCESS STORY (5/9)
We can't thank you enough for all you did in bringing Mollie to us. She slept with my daughter in her bed last night and is the sweetest, cutest little lady!! She has been outside several times today and already knows her boundaries with our invisible fence, so smart!!
Our 9 year old beagle mix is interested in her but not willing to wrestle and play, he has arthritis in his hind leg so we are hoping she learns to play with us and our two teenage children. I will send pictures of her to you all in her forever home sometime this week.
Again, thanks for your kind hearts and willingness to help Mollie and others like her.
