Meet EDEN, an absolutely adorable 1 year old tricolor setter mix, who is 40 lbs. of pure puppy energy. Eden loves toys; she'll chase balls and wrestle with rope tugs as if she is subduing a snake. Eden loves her people too; she gives lots of sloppy kisses and likes to lie in your lap for a warm nap. She is a cuddly snugglebug who always wants to be close to her people or foster siblings.
Eden's house-training is going well, with few accidents if she is taken outside frequently. She'll try to tell you when she wants to go out, but she doesn't make a fuss so you have to watch carefully. Eden loves to play outside but will dig if she becomes bored. Eden needs to go to a home with a 5' or 6' physical fence; no invisible fences.
Eden is a very outgoing, social little lady. Dogs, cats, people ... she loves them all, but she doesn't like to be left alone. Eden's perfect home will include a friendly, playful canine sibling. While her foster mom is at work, Eden goes to doggy daycare where she plays hard all day and is very popular with the other students. Eden greets each dog personally and she loves to PLAY! Taking an active puppy to doggy daycare a couple days a week is win-win for everyone. Other days, Eden is gated in the kitchen where she barks some, but will settle down to play with her toys. At night, Eden sleeps quietly in bed cuddled up next to her foster mom until the alarm rings.
Eden can be a little mouthy and likes to jump up to greet people so we're working on normal puppy behaviors. She's learning to tell the difference between her toys and your shoes/slippers, the remote, and other household items. Because of her puppy enthusiasm, Eden should not go to a home with young children.
Eden is a very independent-minded little lady, but she has learned to sit nicely for a treat and responds well to positive training and praise. She will need to attend a positive reinforcement training class to continue to develop into a well-mannered adult. She loves to learn and to spend time with her people so a class will be great fun for her. Eden is a happy, bouncy, mischievous pup who can't wait to find a home of her very own. Is Eden the pup for your family?
Pam Miller hopes that Eden finds a wonderful loving home very soon!
