Hi, my name is BECCA.  I've been hanging out with ACES for a while but I haven't given up on finding a home of my very own.  I'm about 5 years old and I weigh a trim 40 lbs.  My foster mom says I'm a good girl with the sweetest face ever, beautiful ears and expressive eyes.

My stats say I shouldn't go to a home with other dogs or cats or kids.  I'm afraid that makes me sound difficult when I'm really such a gentle soul.  Okay, I'll admit that I'm a little crazy over cats.  But dogs and kids frighten me so I'm just hoping for a home where I won't be anxious or scared.  I'm happiest and most comfortable when I can spend time one-on-one with my person.  I'm really a home body but I don't care what we do; I just like to be together.  I like to lie beside you to watch a movie (bring enough popcorn for me too please) or read a book or go for a ride in the car or work in the yard or go for a walk or sit at your feet while you cook dinner (I won't complain if you drop a carrot or potato while chopping veggies).  I also like to sit on your lap and get tummy rubs.  When my foster mom and I spend time alone, she says that I relax and she can almost see me smile.

I'm house-trained and very well behaved inside the house.  I don't chew or get into trouble when left loose in the house without supervision.  I can stay in a crate for short periods of time, but my foster mom says I'm so good that it's really not necessary.  I sleep overnight on my dog bed on the floor in the bedroom or else on the foot of the bed.  I like to sleep late so I won't wake you up too early in the morning.

I need a fenced yard to run but I will spend most of my time with you.  I have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) like Monk, the detective on TV.  I'll have to take a pill for it every morning for the rest of my life, but that's okay.  If you just hide the pill in a little cream cheese, I'll eagerly come running for my daily treat.  The pills aren't expensive either, less than $10 a month.

When I get anxious, my OCD comes out and sometimes I bark and sometimes I walk in circles.  I might even circle my way to you rather than taking the most direct route.  And sometimes I like to jump into your lap for comfort.  I'm very frightened of storms so I'll always want to sit in your lap when it rains (or else hide in the bathtub or closet).

Well, I think that pretty much describes me.  I may have a few quirks but I'm really just a shy girl looking for love.  I bet I will be your favorite best friend ever if you'll give me a chance.  Are you looking for a new best friend too?
