Ollie is a beautiful six-year-old angel boy. This well-mannered charmer settled quickly into his foster home, and he's already stolen our hearts.

Ollie wags his whole body, not just his tail, when he's happy, and will offer you a toy when you come to the door. You'd never guess he's six with all the wiggling wagging puppy joy he exudes. He loves life and just about everything and everyone in it (except maybe for cats, who cause him to bark and pace when he spies them prowling the neighborhood). Ollie gets along well with other dogs, and he loves being with his people, especially when tummy and ear-rubs are involved.

Ollie does well in the car and enjoys seeing new places, but he can also be content to just look out the window on any given day. In his heart of hearts though, Ollie was born to run, so a large fenced in yard is an essential for him. He likes company, but can keep himself entertained with bird watching and squirrel chasing. If there's no action, Ollie will make his own fun, playing with his toys, tossing one up on the fly and catching it mid-stride, or just galloping, leaping and rolling around the yard.

Ollie's playful and sweet: high-energy, but not high-strung, cuddly but not clingy. He is perfectly house trained and listens well. He's making steady progress with walking - not pulling - on a leash. Where Ollie would prefer to simply sprint through life, he's quickly learning to adapt to the pace of his person for the reward of a walk and its attendant new sights and smells. Ollie is bright and willing, and should benefit from obedience class.

This boy is very healthy and has a good appetite. He will sit nicely for treats, and will politely take the hint if you don't want him hovering over your dinner. He might guard his rawhide snack, but not in an aggressive way. At night he'll sleep on a cushy chair or couch, or curl up at the foot of the bed if invited. In short, Ollie is a great dog who just wins everyone over with his friendly, loving nature.

OLLIE'S SUCCESS STORY - Update 4/30/14

Ollie's forever family sent an e-mail to ACES saying "Ollie has been with us for just over five years.  Boy, does time fly!  We love him so much, and he has brought so much joy to our lives.  And he's really going strong - you would never be able to tell he is 11 years old - as energetic as the day we met him! Very squirrelly and a real nature lover."
