Samuel is a 3 year old tricolor boy that deserves a loving forever home. Sam was dropped off at the shelter with his son, Harrison, for no apparent reason. When Sam first arrived in foster care, he was very clingy; he probably was just making certain that no one would leave him again. In the last couple weeks, Sam has settled in nicely and has become much more independent. He is very quiet but has just started to woof woof softly in excitement when he is getting fed in the mornings.
Sam loves the outdoors and is very birdy. It's a joy to watch this 43 pound setter run in the yard. He has not challenged the fence at all but has inspected every inch. Sam knows no stranger, everyone is a friend in his eyes, and has done well with his foster brother and with Harrison. He willingly shares food and water bowls. Sam loves his toys and you will usually find him somewhere nearby proudly showing one off to you or enticing you into a game of fetch. Sam would love to be a member of your family. If you have room in your home and your heart for two, please consider adopting both Samuel and Harrison!
Sam, I hope you find a wonderful family with a mom as devoted as mine!
