Cisco is a handsome, 39 pound blue male who is believed to less than two years old.  He has a happy go lucky attitude about life and people and is very loving.  He does not respond adversely to loud noises, car rides, other dogs or unfamiliar people.  He does not seem familiar with cats (but thinks they smell really good as they fly by!) and has a tendency to be very bouncy when he first greets anyone new.  He plays well with his foster sister, running together in the yard, wrestling and playing chase in the house, and when we are out walking he seems to follow her lead to learn what is expected.

A very polite inside guest, Cisco alternates between the couch and bed when he is not lying right at my feet.  He is eager to assist in the kitchen and tries to inspect the counter on his hind legs when I am cooking.  He sleeps beside me on the floor at night and is free in the house when I am away.  Although very excited to see me when I return home, Cisco has not had any accidents, chewing episodes or any other problems to report (but I cannot find my slippers!).  He is very silly with his bones, treats or toys...playing with them for a short time, and then hiding them (usually in plain sight) for later.  He does well with his foster sister and seems to enjoy the companionship.
In the yard, Cisco alternates between chasing his foster sister and stalking the birds and other critters in the enclosure.  He responds to some basic commands, but it is a challenge is to get his attention.  He is so intent on his surroundings that sometimes this takes some doing!   He loves to swim and chase the ball, and when playtime is over, he gratefully accepts belly rubs.  Cisco is very physical, having shown me that he can push doors and gates open with his shoulders and easily make it over a four foot fence.  For his safety, Cisco will need a home with a secure 6 foot privacy fence or invisible fence.

Up to date on his immunizations, Cisco is one week into a month long course of antibiotics for lyme disease.  Over the week, he has become even more curious and energetic than when he arrived in foster care, proving himself to be a gentle companion who is looking to be loved..  Cisco has much to offer to the right forever family.  If you are looking for a handsome friend who will be the scout for every walk, will lead you through every door, and will check on you at night before sleep, then this guy might be just right for you.
