Trey is a handsome young setter, approximately 3 years old and 44 lbs, who is simply the most perfect gentleman.  Never in the way, Trey contents himself to recline on the bed or doze away the day on the nearest couch.  The only time he loses his composure is when the leash comes out; then, watch out, as he can't wait to go explore!  This pooch is crate trained, finding his comfort there if the house gets too loud.  His crate is also the first place he runs to when he hears his dinner being prepared, where he sits patiently awaiting service (such a good customer!).  At first Trey was cautious of the resident dogs in his foster home, but now he's starting to play with them a bit and seems surprised that it can be so much fun!  He can't quite figure out the cats--they're supposed to run from him, but they usually don't.  And, most the time if they do run from him, they then turn around and he gets chased!  He's probably seriously wondering if that's the order of things, but dog-savvy cats just don't play his game!

Trey housetrained and has been from day one.  His house manners lead this foster mom to believe that Trey had a home at one point in his life.  Whatever happened for him to wind up on the streets is anyone's guess and has certainly left him confused and cautious.  But, after a week in a secure environment, he's showing confidence and is relaxing enough to let household noises pass without trying to hide.  He's also growing trust in his humans now, shedding his shyness each and every day.   A home with young and/or active kids would be too much for Trey.  He would do best without the hustle and bustle of an active family or the unpredictability of little ones.  A quiet environment where Trey can continue to prosper would be ideal.  He would definitely repay such kindness in a forever home with his soulful brown eyes, warm snuggles, and loyalty.
