Just like his country music namesake, ACES CHESNEY wants "to know how forever feels." Can you be his forever family?
Chesney is a 5-6 year old, 55 pound orange belton setter. His fur is wonderfully soft, silky, and fluffy. His mom and dad turned him over to ACES because they wanted him to have a yard and the amount of attention and exercise he so deserves. Chesney, or "Chezzy", as he is known around his foster home, is simply a pleasure to have around!
And just why is he so awesome? Let's see...
Chesney enjoys playing with his toys inside, his favorite seems to be the squeaky tennis balls and the occasional stuffed squeaky toy. He calms down nicely inside. He does think he is a bit of a lapdog, and will sometimes try to plant some part of himself on your lap. But he doesn't fuss if you want him to give you space and he knows "off". Although there are no children in his foster home, Chezzy appears to be good with children. He sits without being asked when approached by kids and will give a gentle sniff; he allowed my 10-month old god-daughter to pet him and poke him without any complaints or worries.
Chezzy loves to go on walks. He is interested in birds, but isn't super birdy. He hasn't shown interest in getting over the 4-foot fence. He just loves to be out in the yard. Chez will run and play with his foster brother and the neighbor dog. But then his foster brother will come in, and Chez will stay out in the yard just hanging out. He likes to just lay out there in the yard and watch the world go by. He is so easy-going, perhaps his new motto should be "no shirt, no shoes, no problem!"
With love from me (Sandra Witten) and my two setters, Tiger and Annie
