Scooby Dooby-Doo, Where are you?
"Right here at ACES! Arooooo!"

SCOOBY came to ACES when his person passed away. He's a beautiful 2.5 year old field setter with evenly distributed orange ticking. Scooby was given a great start in life, had been with his owner since he was a puppy, and is very affectionate. He likes to get up next to you and put his head in your lap.

Outside, Scooby is active and birdy. The longer he's been here, the more he seems willing to be in the backyard by himself. The park is very exciting because there is so much to smell and see: people, dogs, birds, squirrels...oh my! As much as he enjoys his walks, Scooby has shown no interest in jumping my four-foot fence.

Once inside, Scooby will grab a few squeaky toys out of the bin to entertain himself. When he gets excited with a toy, he sometimes likes to run around squeaking it. He calms down nicely too, and will hop on the sofa for a rest. Better watch out - if Scooby gets too comfortable on the sofa, he'll hang his head off, then his neck, and he can fall right off! Scooby likes to watch out the windows and will bark to tell you if someone is outside. He does "talk" sometimes, and does a very nice setter "roo" noise.

Scooby is crate trained but he is okay to be left loose in the house. He hasn't had any accidents and is not destructive here. I crate him most nights. Scooby's been to obedience, but he has forgotten some of his manners. He's good at sit and down, and is working on walking nicely on a leash and not jumping on people. These will come along with a little bit of work. He'd be happy in any house where he had attention, toys, and a soft place to sleep. But I think he'd LOVE a house that had a nice yard or a family that would take him on walks. He likes playing with other dogs, but I think he would be fine as an only dog too.
