DAISY is probably the sweetest of all the English Setters I have fostered so far. She was found tired and hungry in a park. Daisy is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 28 lbs. which may be a little thin but her appetite is good. Unfortunately, Daisy was diagnosed with heartworms so she must stay quiet during her recovery. I have had to keep her as quiet as possible but that has not been too hard. Daisy is crated while I'm gone, but she sleeps on the couch when I'm home. Daisy does get excited when I first return home but otherwise, she's content to rest.  As long as she can be in the same room with me and my dogs, she has been quiet and calm. If I leave the room, she fusses a little and then quiets down.

Daisy seems so grateful to have a safe place that nothing bothers her. Even the vet who treated her was amazed how she just settled in her cage at his office. She just wanted to rest and get better, we thought.

Daisy was not housetrained when I brought her home, but has been the easiest of all my fosters to train. She loves to be praised when she "does her business" and looks forward to the little treats I give her. Daisy gets along well with my other two dogs. She might push them out of the way to get to me if she can, but she's always good-natured about it. Daisy squeezes by with a smile and my dogs don't seem to mind at all.

This sweet little dog just wants a loving home with lots of attention, lots of sitting in your lap and lots of praise. I can already see that when Daisy is released (following her heartworm treatment), she will be a bundle of energy. She loves to be outdoors and hunt chipmunks, birds, squirrels, and then is content to lie in the sun on my deck. Daisy can easily climb a 4-foot fence so she will need a 6-foot or invisible fence in her new home.

Daisy will make a wonderful companion for her new family.  She just loves everyone who comes to see her.
