Sir Reggie was originally adopted from a shelter in Maryland when he was six years old.  He now finds himself needing a new home after his owner passed away.  At 9 years old and 61 lb, this big boy is super sweet and happy.  Since his previous owner treated him like royalty, we've dubbed him Sir Reggie.

Reggie is curious and playful.  He has been having a blast in the late winter snowfall.  He prances and rolls in it, relishing every minute of the cold.  He really enjoys being dried off too.

Reggie shares a small home with three cats.  Reggie seems content with his living arrangements but the cats aren't happy.  Reggie just loves the cats and only wants to play, but the cats thinks Reggie is big, clumsy and definitely not cat-like.

Reggie is healthy and has lost 15 pounds in the past year.  Reggie loves his Blue Buffalo food and treats and healthy people food like chicken, turkey, cheese, carrot and peanut butter.  For some reason, he is not a fan of bananas or the banana-flavored treats.  If you are eating and Reggie would like you to share, he will stare at you intently with huge sad eyes while edging ever closer to you until you cave.  He is gentle when taking treats and will catch them if you toss them.  Reggie loves the vegetable garden in the backyard and discovered the joy of harvesting his own cucumbers this past year.

Reggie is everyone's friend.  He gets really excited when someone he knows comes in the door.  He dances and bounces and will play bow while giving a little greeting bark.  People are Reggie's number one favorite, but he also enjoys the company of all animals.  He obviously enjoys the cats in the house and has made friends with a pot-bellied pig and terrier that lived next door.  He would run along the fence line to play with them.  Recently, he tried to add two bulldog puppies at the vet to his fan club.

Reggie has free-roam of the house when his foster family is gone, except for one room that is gated off for the cats.  He doesn't get into anything or make a mess.  The cats might disagree since he tends to steal all their toys and bring them to his bed.  Reggie does love his people and seems to be overly excited when his family comes home after an unusually long day.  He would probably be best suited to a family that doesn't work long hours.

Can an older dog hit the rescue jackpot and find a loving home not once but twice in his life?  We think so!

Holly Christensen & Steve Krogulecki hope that Sir Reggie will soon be making new friends in a loving forever home!

Tracey & Allan Fogwill are sending their best wishes for Reggie to hit the rescue jackpot!
