Cashmere is a 13-year-old orange boy who weighs 43 pounds. You would never know that Cash is 13 or that he had never been a house dog before now. Cash is in excellent health and has the activity level of a much younger dog. He still loves to patrol the backyard and search the bushes for critters. He has also developed a fondness for stuffed toys and we can’t begin to tell you how much he loves a dog bed. Any dog bed will do; Cash has tried all of them in the house. He has even fallen off of the couch in his sleep!
Cashmere may be new to this whole “live in the house” gig but he’s catching on quickly. He is getting the hang of housetraining and has free roam of the house when we are gone. He has spent time in a crate during the work day and at night, but once we realized he’s happy to hang out on his bed, we put the crate away. Cash is good on a leash and he rides well in the car. He gets over-the-moon excited when it’s meal time and will AH-ROO at the top of his voice. He’s also pretty happy to see anyone walk towards the treat jar.
Cashmere gets along well with the other dogs in the house, young and old, and he loves his people. Cash will walk up to you and lean his head into your legs for some good ol’ petting. He has been Mr. Social at the vet, making friends all around the waiting room.
Cashmere may have some years under his belt but he has many more ahead of him. Will Cash be lucky enough to spend those years with you?
