Hi, my name is Lacey, and I am now ready to find my forever home. I was born with one of my front paws not fully formed. I've been spending time with physical therapy and cold laser therapy to separate the pads on my paw and to help me heal. I now have close to normal function of my paw.
I've also been learning all about being a good house dog. I know my name and my foster mom has taught me to focus on her and to ring the bell to go outside to go potty. I also know the commands, "leave it" and "sit." I not only know these words, but I know the hand signals too! "Down" and "stay" are a little challenging for me because I am still a pup and there are so many other things to explore.
I get along well with all the dogs in my foster home. I really like to play with everyone. I've even been known to invite the other dogs to my food bowl and to play with my toys. Even though the other dogs are bigger than me, I can keep up with them when they run in the yard. In fact, I just went for a full half mile walk with all of my foster sisters.
I've really enjoyed my time in ACES foster care, but I can't wait to see what a new home of my own would be like!
Bob & Margaret Radford hope that sweet little Lacey finds her forever home very soon!
