Moxy is a 45 lb, 2 year-old, liver beauty who is very active and constantly on the lookout for local wildlife. She is a healthy, happy girl who loves to spend her day outside with her foster dog family and playing with her toys. Moxy will need a minimum 5-foot physical fence and a large yard that she has frequent access to during the day. You see, Moxy has Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD.) In Moxy's case, it manifests in a fascination with lights and shadows. This is a problem sometimes found in high-energy, high-drive hunting dogs. We have learned how to help Moxy with this disorder, and it is really not that complicated. Moxy needs:
*Plenty of physical and mental exercise
*Daily medication, which is inexpensive at $4.00 per month
*Nightly crate sleeping in a quiet dark area
Moxy is a sweet girl who enjoys the company of her foster family. After a day of active Setter fun, Moxy is excited to spend time with her foster mom. She settles down in the evening and relaxes with the family before bedtime. She loves a snuggle with her foster mom or just hanging out with the family. Moxy would do well with a family with older children and no cats. Moxy is looking for a special family to call her very own. Could that family be yours?
Moxy is very happy to have Laura Lin as her "Setter Sidekick" while she is in ACES foster care. Laura hopes Moxy will soon be snuggling with her forever family!
Mary Loots hopes that a special family will provide sweet Moxy with a lifetime of happy days in a loving forever home very soon!
Moxy sends a big "Thank You" to Lee Miller for the support and best wishes as she waits for her forever home.
MOXY'S SUCCESS STORY
Moxy has been adopted by her long-time foster mom. She is so happy to be staying in the home she's known for the past year, and we are happy for her!
