Faye is a petite girl at 42 pounds. She’s also 7 years old. Don’t let this little girl’s size and age fool you; she’s packed full of spunk! Faye loves to spend her days outside. She’ll move around the yard investigating every square inch, and when she’s done, she’ll lie up against the back door where she has the best view of the entire yard. Nothing is going to get past Faye while she’s on watch. Faye would love a yard large enough to explore. She’s not particular about her fencing. She does fine with a four foot fence and was trained on an invisible fence.
As much as Faye loves the outdoors, she loves her people too. She will hang out in the yard with you and enjoys a game of “get the ball.” We don’t think we can really call it “fetch” because, even though Faye loves to chase the ball, she doesn’t always bring it back to you. Indoors, Faye will be right by your side. Sit on the couch and Faye will sit next to you. Get up and go to the kitchen, hang on, Faye’s coming. Faye is also obedient and will get in her dog bed and settle if you ask her. She is also content to sleep through the night on your bedroom floor. Because Faye is constantly on the move, we think she will do best in a home that will allow her the exercise she needs, but one that isn’t so active that they will contribute to any potential nervousness. It can be hard to keep up with everyone moving in different directions! Small children may also be a bit too much for Faye so we are recommending that she go to a home with kids no younger than 10 years old.
Faye gets along great with the other dogs in the house. She’s never had an issue with any of them. The dogs here don’t play much, but we had a playful guest dog visit and Faye absolutely loved him. We think she would really enjoy having a fur sibling to play with during the day. Plus, another dog that will play chase with Faye will really help expend her energy. We have a cat in the house too and the cat fascinates Faye. She doesn’t get close enough to hurt the cat, but she is always on the alert and we are guessing that most cats won’t like to be the subject of Faye’s unwavering attention.
Faye is a happy girl who takes her setter job seriously. She loves life and she will love you too!
Bob & Margaret Radford hope that Faye is soon happily playing and sharing her love in a forever home!
