GULLIVER STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP

Gulliver

Gulliver became an ACES dog this past March.  It was obvious at first glance that this sweet boy was lame and seemed to be in pain.  We acted quickly to get him vetted and we discovered that he needed a total hip replacement.  The costs to help this loving boy have exceeded $5,000; continued therapy and ongoing care will bring the costs even higher.

A HOLIDAY THANK YOU

Holiday Thank YouThanks to you, this holiday season was a special one for ACES foster setters.  Many of you participated in our "Give a Setter a Lift" holiday gift campaign and bought a "gift" for a homeless English Setter.

HOLIDAY FUN

ChristmasWith the fall and winter holidays just around the corner, we thought it might be fun to see how our pups enjoy the holidays.

Please share photos of your setters dressed up for Halloween, stuffing themselves with turkey or enjoying the fall weather.

GIVE A SETTER A LIFT

Lucky Santa

This holiday season, please consider putting a gift under the tree for a dog you may never meet. If you are looking to give a gift that will count, think of ACES and our foster setters. Each and every dollar makes a difference for English Setters in need.

BRAXTON'S PET RESCUE EVENT

BraxtonsVolunteers and ACES four-legged ambassadors attended a pet rescue fundraising event at Braxton's Pet Supply in Wayne, PA this past September.  Two raffle items and the sales of donated items (many handmade) brought in $150.  What a great way to meet people interested in helping and learning about English Setters.

ACES REUNION FUN

2008 ReunionThe day couldn't have been better, the people couldn't have been nicer, and the setters couldn't have been happier!  On August 9, ACES adopters, foster parents and their setters came together from as far as 17 hours away to join in the fun at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, KY.

Farewell to a Friend

Kerby? - June 30, 2008

Kerby became a part of the ACES family on June 10, 2005, when he was nine years old.  We don't know how he spent most of his life, but we do know that during his last three years, Kerby was surrounded by people who loved him, near and far.

Good News for Jackson

Jackson Our dear Jackson needs your help.  Jack, as he is fondly known, is a senior ACES foster dog.  As an older setter, Jack has seen his fair share of the vet's office, but he has not had any major problems...until now.  Jack has developed a large fatty cyst around his front leg, where his elbow meets his chest.

ACES Website Features

ACES has a new look!  We're very excited about the ACES website and would like to share some of the new features with you.

  • The dogs new to ACES will appear first on the Available Dogs page.  If a change is made to an existing dog profile (e.g., an update, new pictures or adding a friend), that dog will move to the front of the list.
